What was your journey like to get where you are?
Started my career as a patent attorney in biomedical and genetic technologies. Observed how blockchain is empowering individuals to create and reap rewards without the help of lawyers, big tech, and other middlemen. I applied the technology to licensing DNA data and now to social media content. My goal is to claw back profits from big tech and bring the power of the internet back to the people, where it belongs.
In a simpler phrase, what is your company exactly doing?
We help content creators break free from YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram by turning their content into NFTs, which can be sold directly to fans. You are no longer the free source of digital content which makes the big platforms money. Rather, you sell your own content as NFTs and keep all the profits.
What about Metaverse are you most excited for in the future?
NFTs are the most exciting thing to happen to Intellectual Property in the last 100 years. It will revolutionize how we transact in the 60 billion licensing markets and has the potential to unlock billions more in value.
Why should we be paying attention to the Metaverse?
According to some estimates, NFTs, Metaverse, and the blockchain market will collectively represent $2-3 trillion dollars in new value by 2030. It’s still very early, so if you’ve ever dreamed about traveling back in time to get in early, this is your chance.
