Ben Guihot is an entrepreneur, business owner, and Co-Founder of NFT Apparel and Peak Finance and an Analyst at Crypto Consulting Institute. After studying Business at University, Ben went into the financial services industry where he built and ran an insurance consulting business before Co-founding NFT Apparel, a blockchain-based e-commerce disruptor.
What was your journey like to get where you are?
Starting a new business is never easy. My previous ventures had all been small, client-based service companies in the financial industry. During the height of Covid lockdowns, most small businesses in Australia were forced to close their doors due to government restrictions and Financial advisers were in much lower demand all of a sudden while people were struggling to keep themselves afloat. It was at this time that I decided to look deeper into Blockchain technologies. People were working from home, shopping from home, and living from home. Metaverses and NFTs were quickly becoming everyday terms and it was here that I realized the connection between e-commerce, real-world products, and the Metaverse was waiting to be built and so devoted myself entirely to my start-up “NFTA.” NFT Apparel is an NFT Ecosystem that is revolutionizing e-commerce by providing a platform for NFT monetization and merchandising! NFT holders can stake their NFTs which then become available for anyone around the world to use on real-life and metaverse apparel and earn actual revenue from profits on sales using their designs.
What about Metaverse are you most excited for in the future?
I’m extremely excited about how the metaverse will change the way we do things as simple as shopping for clothing online. Customers will be able to create designs for apparel, see how they will look in 3D rendering, try them on their Avatars for sizing, and then order them to their real-life front door. It has the potential to enable fashion designers and artists to take their collections to a massive public forum (the metaverse) and set up storefronts and businesses without even having to leave their homes. I believe the manufacturing industry will need to rapidly evolve to cater for the influx of 3D rendered designs that will be flowing through soon.
Why should we be paying attention to the Metaverse?
I think the metaverse is really just getting started. Commercial plots are being bought up left right and center, and businesses will start to onboard their operations as the work-from-home trend started from Covid does not seem to be one that the corporate world will come back from. We can’t wait to open our store on the metaverse and enable creators to create, buy and sell NFT Apparel.
