Chetan Nandakumar is a yogi, technologist, and entrepreneur. He has a UC Berkeley Ph.D. in AI and neuroscience and has been working in the startup world for many years as a product manager, engineer, and founder at companies such as UltraLeap (VR) and RecruitBot (AI). Before the Ph.D., he spent a few years traveling the world and studying meditation.
What was your journey like to get where you are?
I started a company a few years ago where our mission was to incentivize healthier actions on the planet. I created 100+ campaigns with brands, non-profits, and individuals. Through that journey, I learned what motivates individuals and corporations to take action and used that knowledge to tackle climate change through Avatree.

What about Metaverse are you most excited for in the future?
The metaverse is an infinite canvas in which we can create and interact with one another. I’m most excited about how it can inspire us into healthier relationships with ourselves and each other.
