Leanne Holder is CEO of Giving To Services. She is highly skilled in the building and directing of businesses having owned multiple brands that have paved the way in both the automotive and health industries. Her successes have led to her being named one of the UK’s Most Inspirational Female Entrepreneurs, as well as her ranking as a Top 10 Entrepreneur To Watch and being named in The 10 Young and Inspiring Businesswomen To Watch, globally. She is passionate about using crypto for good and is hoping to pave the way for other ladies to enter the cryptocurrency world.
What was your journey like to get where you are?
Working in crypto was never actually planned for me and so my journey has been unconventional. After studying for a BSc (Hons) and an MSc, I left university and fell into the world of business. I was working as a business owner for a number of years and as someone who was already interested in crypto and investments, I saw Giving To Services in its infinite stages and wanted to know more. I saw that the start-up was giving back to service personnel including those in the military and after serving a few years in the Army Reserves I wanted to see how I could help. I was consequently offered the position of Head of Relations. Quite a while later I was then offered Head of Partnerships fast forward a few years and I have been appointed CEO. My business experience has proved versatile and extremely useful within the Fintech industry.
In a simpler phrase, what is your company exactly doing?
Simply put, our crypto gives back. Giving To Services is a crypto token (SVS) that recognizes and rewards public service workers that continue to be under-compensated and undervalued within global societies. Giving To Services exists to both support and empower public service workers through decentralized finance tools and a strengthening digital currency. The company’s mission and cutting-edge technology position it to lead crypto philanthropy efforts and capture growth in global crypto markets more broadly.
What about Metaverse are you most excited for in the future?
The way in which it will help human connection excites me. It can be used as a tool to connect us with the planet, for example, to allow us to experience things that we would usually have to hop on a plane to see. The way we can immersively share stories and build connections will enable us to build a bigger picture of the world, which I think is something worth being excited about!
Why should we be paying attention to the Metaverse?
The obvious answer is ‘because it’s the future which is what I hear a lot in this space. I agree it is, however, I think it is actually the present also. From the outside it can look like things are being spoken about for the future of the Metaverse, however, there is already so much being created, innovated, and explored. You only have to go to an event and speak to people in this space to realize there are so many people already creating businesses with this in mind!
